Deceptive Looks // Yulius’s 450HP+ Civic
Let’s face the truth, all around the internet and across many modification societies, Honda Civic has been one of most frequent car to be associated with the term ‘rice’. “What’s ‘rice’?” You might ask. Well, ‘rice’ merupakan sebuah istilah yang sering digunakan untuk mengejek mobil-mobil yang dimodifikasi untuk terlihat race oriented saja, meskipun sebenarnya mesinnya pretty much standard. Yang ada hanya loud mufflers and extreme body kits. Nah! Kalau Civic yang hawk’n’poke tampilkan kali ini adalah the exact opposite! Jujur saja, ketika foto-foto Civic ini diterima dalam mailbox hawk’n’poke, I personally wasn’t so much interested in the way it looked. It definitely looked no different from standard Civics. Tetapi, setelah melihat spec list dan horsepower output-nya, that’s when things got interesting; how could this Civic ended up with a 450HP+ output?
Meet Yulius, the owner dari Civic hitam asal Palembang ini. Beliau sudah cukup lama berkecimpung dalam dunia modifikasi. Dimulai dari interests pada VIP/Elegant styles, dan berkelanjutan dengan ‘kegilaan’ akan performance modifications yang beliau sedang alami saat ini. Yulius sendiri juga merupakan pemilik dari sebuah performance oriented modification shop, dan Civic-nya ini juga kerap kali turun diajang drag races.
Pada awalnya, Yulius memodifikasi Civic ini dengan aliran N/A saja. Namun dikarenakan his never ending urge untuk meningkatkan output dari Civic-nya ini, beliau pun memutuskan untuk mendongkrak power melalui pengaplikasian turbo. Ditambah dengan plenty of other performance parts lainnya, maka terhasil lah Civic 450HP+ ini (approx. figure is 478HP). Enjoy the pics! Don’t forget to take a look at the spec list!
Future mods? Well, Yulius yang masih terus menginginkan performa lebih dari kendaraannya ini berencana untuk men-trade in Civic miliknya ini dengan sebuah Civic Type R. Let’s see how much horsepower he can get from that 2.0 engine!
