Slidefest 2014 Official Photo Coverage Part 3

Another batch of pictures fresh from Slidefest 2014 JIExpo Kemayoran 8 March 2014! This time I’ve received plenty of great captures from Winston J and Fidoklik. Community gathering, timed laps and drift actions!

At 8AM Nuvolks community and friends rolled in to the VIP parking area. Creating quite a stunning queue of properly modified rides.

As I’ve often mentioned in previous articles, VW has been boosting its popularity this year through the Scirocco.

Lining up along with the Nuvolks community is this aggressively lowered Z.

Just the right amount of poke at those rear wheels has really set the Z apart from the usual performance oriented builds.

Most of the drift cars arrived through the same line of queue, but resting on top of their towing trucks.

The busy registration area proved to be a great place for meet and greets.

But of course none of these would be possible without the supports from our sponsors. Such as Taiwan Beer…

…and Vorla drinking water. Huge thanks to you all! And also especially to TOP 1, whose special coverage is coming soon.

Right before noon, it was the time for community timed laps. Pictured is Edbert’s 86 from Bogor, representing the 86ID community.

The community timed laps queue was also kept busy through the arrival of some nimble MINI’s from Indo MINI Club.

Yahya’s K20 A Type R SR3. The 2nd place winner to our community timed laps friendly match.

Posma had the chance to test the performance of his personal 1M hatchback build. Check out this link for the car’s featured article.

The most popular MINI in town? Most likely, as this one belongs to Enril, Mr President of Indo MINI Club.

Despite being set up for daily driving purposes, these compact turbocharged coupes proved to be quite the beasts on the track.

Oppa Wangan Style. The winner to our community timed laps friendly match.

At the other side of the showground, drifters were busy preparing their cars up for the drifting practice coming up next.

By lunch time they were tearing up the track with plenty of smokes and tire remains.

The drifting practice continued until the evening, followed by Street Society stars’ arrival on stage with their high performance rides. I’ll be back with part 4 for more!

Slidefest 2014 is a creative automotive event organized by Hawk’n’Poke and Banana Auto. A collaboration of drifting festival and a proper car meet, it wasn’t like any other automotive events out there. More info: Slidefest website.
