“The best Aston Martin ever”, as quoted from Aston’s official site. Now that’s an outrageously bold statement coming from a 100-year-old car manufacturer. How can it be that the Vanquish is the best car they’ve ever made in 100 years? Their flagship of the century? Let me give you a tour of its mind blowing features.

573 PS. 620 Nm of torque. 0-62mph in 4.1 secs. The numbers speak for themselves. These are some of the most powerful combination Aston claimed they’ve ever made during the company’s lifetime (apart from, of course, the One-77 super exotic). On top of that, behind the beautiful layers of paint covering the whole car is a highly advanced carbon-weaved body. Such design has left a very small footprint on the car’s overall mass – coming in at only 1,768kg. That’s a power-to-weight ratio capable enough to swift through the most challenging mountain roads. All while being hymned by the symphonic V12 and bucketed by first-class interior leathers.

Despite all those flamboyant performance figures, I still do believe that Aston’s posses the kind of charisma that even not all of its rivals have. A soul. From its exterior lines, handcrafted construction, musical exhaust note, to the number of cows sacrificed to make the leather interior. These all summed up to become a solid piece of artistry. An object that can time travel without losing a single bit of its charm. Trust me, a hundred years from now you can look back at the 2014 Vanquish and still shake you head unbelieving the achievements Aston has made with this car.
