The Kings // Part 1 // Street Racing Galant
Some cars were built for races, others were for shows. Races or shows, they usually share the same goal: to be the best, to reach the top, to be nicknamed as The King! What we have here is a Galant that has lived both worlds: it used to be the King in drag races and now has also earned its King title in auto contest.
Sebelum terjun pada event Accelera Auto Contest 2011 dan memperoleh gelar The King & Champion Street Racing pada event tersebut (sembari memborong serangkaian gelar berkaitan dengan ‘street racing’ lainnya), Galant milik Radhitya dari New Dimension Bandung ini sebenarnya merupakan Galant yang dibangun untuk mengejar kemenangan pada event drag races.
VR4 6a13tt engine swap yang dilakukan pada Galant ini menghasilkan 404WHP, dan mesin twin turbo-nya ini berhasil membuatnya mencapai angka 11.7 detik pada jarak 402 meter di arena Sentul. Sebagai perbandingan, angka 11.7 detik ini setara dengan sebuah Ferrari F430 standar.
Apart from the chameleon paint job, the exterior of the car actually seems quite humble, compared to what lies within the engine hood.
Mobil ini dikerjakan oleh Reindy Botax BTX Concept, dan transformasi dari barebone drag machine hingga menjadi contest worthy car seperti ini dilakukan hanya dalam waktu 1 bulan!
